These are the stories of a world which emerged after an apocalypse, followed by a great war. The great war that followed this apocalypse, was waged over the mysterious substance known as Sky Stone, an ore which can be used to forge all manner of superior alloys. These alloys were used to make the armaments of the war to come, and prove the power and the right of the kingdoms which sought to rise in the wake of the old world. However, these stones had a secret, a crystal which formed inside… a substance known as Heart Stone. This substance had the power to corrupt those who embraced its power, creating monstrosities unlike any before known to man. Only one thing could contain the power of these crystals, the very thing that brought them to our world. The ore which they had been wrapped in, the alloys which man had forged into weapons, this alone could be used to harness and contain the power of these crystals. In the end, it would be these crystals and the objects which controlled them, which would be the true motive and the decisive medium in what would grow to become a world at war. In the end only five kingdoms would remain, the victors of a long and bloodied battle. Those who tired of the battles, and those who survived them, would retreat to the emerging wilds to make a life for themselves beyond the reach of the kingdoms. A life… in the lands of the Corrupted.
